3-D-issent

This portion was done in Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) using CosmoWorlds, which never caught on, unfortunately (not usable online with modern browsers). So I've taken some relevant screenshots from the program and put them below in some semblence of order (hopefully you can get a sense of the 3-dimensionality). Note: some items were clickable, either as navigation (as described) or else to perform actions (like swirling an image texture or opaque-ing some glass); those unfortunately, I cannot demonstrate. This project is related to (is a 3-dimensional interactive version of) the computer animation I used in my thesis video (interspersed with bits from film and television and with my gendissent soundtrack).

Left image was the entry point - Right image is a side view (same world). User would click the eye to proceed.

Program then opens full screen to show (main world):

Moving to the left shows:

Clicking the first image (hermaphroditic on the right) brings you to this topsy turvy world (where navigation is backwards):

More of the topsy-turvy world (weights with weird pattern):

Clicking the first image in this world (hermaphroditic) brings you back to main world, wher you can continue turning to see:

Clicking the image [woman]on the right brings you to:

Scrolling around, you'll see you're trapped in a box:

Once you find the eye, you can click that to return to the main world and scroll over to the same section:

Clicking the image [man] on the left brings you to:

Scrolling around, you'll see you're trapped in a box:

Once you find the eye, you can click that to return to the main world and scroll past the same section to the next wall:

If you click either of these images ["crossdressers"], you get to this strange world:

You can go around the little figurine (and click some surfaces to make the textures spin):

You can explore to check out objects closer and find some hidden texts:

You can explore more (behind where you came in):

Or look from a different perspective:

And when you're done, click "Go back", and you return to the main world, where you can scroll to the last portion of the room:
